Welsh
coins
Values, images, and specifications for coins from Wales.
For centuries after the
end of Roman occupation
Wales was a region
dominated by tribal leaders,
regularly at war with each
other, and with England.
Around 1283 the region of Wales was conquered by
the English, and from this point forward is ruled as a
conquered territory until formally integrated in to the
Kingdom of England in 1536.
